SUHARTO

I was writing a poem about Suharto, about how dictatorship can't work because the dictator is not immortal but I thought the facts of the case stand for themselves. But how much worse it might have been had the Communists got into power? There might have been millions more dead. Alternately, they might have done a better job than he in the end. I don't know.

Finished a model of the Ginger Bread Man from Grimm last night and it is fantastic. Really pleased with this piece of work. (its for the children of my friend Heike who lives in the Palatinate, Germany) Slept all day, having worked late last night, then listened to 'Interview with the Vampire' read by F Murray Abraham. (oddly he never did anything after 'Amadeus' but that one performance will live forever.)
